A German hunting chopper, circa 1750 - 1770 Slightly curved single-edged blade with fullers on both sides (somewhat stained) and a double-edged point. Decorative hunting etchings at the base on both sides (partially polished). Brass mountings (rivets renewed) with guard plate, rocaille decoration in relief, fine hallmarks and spirally grooved, green-coloured grip. Black leather scabbard with brass mountings, suspension hook. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 52 cm. Condition: II
