Description
A German knightly hand-and-a-half estoc, mid-15th century Narrow, double-edged thrusting blade with shallow fullers on both sides of the upper third. Straight iron quillons of rectangular cross-section, one arm bent in the middle. The sturdy, slightly tapered tang slightly bent. Oblique oval disc pommel with beveled edges. Length 103.5 cm. Late Gothic sword in good condition, which can easily be improved by cleaning and restoration. Provenance: Found in a wall during construction work near Neuburg an der Donau. Condition: II - III
