Description

A Scottish dirk, late 19th century Double-edged blade with double, narrow fullers on both sides. Horn grip with carved wickerwork decoration, nickel silver grip ferrule and pommel cap in relief. Leather-covered scabbard with nickel-silver mountings decorated en suite, the locket with the monogram "GM" on the back, the locket plate with typical silver thistle relief, one inset by-knife. Blade pitted and stained, the typical citrine in the pommel missing, byknife without pommel, another missing, scabbard with signs of age and use. Length 46 cm. Condition: III -
