Description

Three Indonesian kerises, circa 1900 Flamed, beautifully patterned pamor blade with cut root. Massive, ornamentally carved dark wood grip, in a wooden scabbard with a slightly curved wrangka. Two further crisis with straight or flamed Damascus blade, brass or nickel silver mendhaks and typically shaped and carved wooden java handles. Curved wrangkas, one made of Timoho wood. One scabbard with open-worked sheet brass with various animals among foliage on the obverse side. The second with partial nickel silver sheet metal sheathing. Length 57, 48 and 49 cm. Condition: II
