A small Chinese jian, 1st half of the 20th century Heavy double-edged blade with five points inlaid in brass on both sides. Brass quillons and pommel, the grip with textile band winding (later?). Wooden scabbard with brass mountings, missing locket, also later wrapped with textile band. Blade cleaned and slightly stained and pitted in places. Length 64 cm. Condition: II - III
