An Indian khanjar with bird's head pommel, 19th century Typically curved, double-edged blade with a strong central ridge. Iron grip inlaid with floral motifs in gold, merging into the strongly inclined bird's head with gilded beak. Velvet-covered wooden scabbard with etched brass and copper mountings. The gold inlay slightly rubbed, the scabbard cover detached at the stitching, replaced in situ. Length 34 cm. Condition: II
