Description
An Ottoman bicak, late 19th century, and a Toledan dagger in Moorish style, circa 1900 Narrow, thin single-edged blade with brass inscription on the obverse side. Grip and blade mountings of silver in floral relief. The scabbard worked en suite with a sculpted monster's head at the point. Length 34.5 cm. Comes with an ornamental dagger with etched double-edged blade (part of the etching removed), the ricasso finely etched and gilt. Finely cut, engraved and gilt hilt with a curved quillons and pointed pommel, the grip decorated on both sides with medallions depicting architectural scenes. Iron scabbard made and decorated en suite, one inscription cartouche on each side. Length 29 cm. Condition: II -
