Five partially enameled Russian bronze icons, 19th century Bronze, cast in relief, two gilded, three polychrome enameled. One icon with four feast days, one icon fitting with two image fields and four drilled holes for mounting, one icon with Saints Boris and Gleb, one icon with Christ's descent into Hades and two icons with the guardian angel and the monastery founders Zosima and Sawatii. Minor losses, one icon with expertise from the Lehmann Gallery, height 6 - 10 cm. Condition: II

Die Handschrift befand sich u.a. im Besitz des Kurfürsten Maximilian I. von Bayern und schmückte dessen Residenz. - Tadellos erhaltenes, nahezu neuwertiges Exemplar. True to the original facsimile of the Codex icon. 414 of the Bavarian State Library in Munich. With numerous miniatures, some heightened with gold. Rich gilt-embossed orig. leather binding together with CD box in gilt-embossed org. leather cassette. - Facsimile of the French manuscript from the late 15th century. It originates from the workshop of Jean Poyer in Tours. - The miniatures relate the life story of Jesus to the prophecies of the twelve sibyls. - Near mint copy.
