Description

A German baroque walnut chest, 17th century Rectangular chest on four sturdy ball feet made of solid walnut. The hinged lid and the front with fine burlwood veneer framed by flaming strips. Inside, a chapel lock with engraved lock plate and engraved and pierced iron fittings in the shape of tendrils. A further compartment divided into three parts under the sideboard. Movable side handles with cut decoration. The key is enclosed (replaced). Some shrinkage cracks, scratches and knocks in places, small losses. The back stained. Dimensions H48 x W71 x D41 cm.
