A German iron ember holder for lighting pipes, circa 1700 Hollow forged shaft, at the lower end a small shovel for moving the embers in the fire. The opposite side with a split holder for a piece of ember. Movable fastening ring with hanging hook. Broaches can be unscrewed from both sides of the shaft. Length 74 cm. Condition: II
