A French/Swiss pewter jug, lidded jug and pichet, 18th century Beautiful jug on a high, flared foot, with an engraved, spherical body (cracked) and finely fluted neck. On the lid (slightly deformed) quality mark for English pewter Abraham Gantings (around 1729/1756) from Bern. Small French pichet, marked twice on the lid ("CD" with animal and cross-shaped mark 1751 with two interlocking semicircles under a crown), somewhat stained. Comes with a large seat with pine cone finial and strong pusher. Undeciphered double mark under the crown ("BB", device and lion?) on the band handle. Height 12, 30 and 32 cm. Condition: II
