A rare Art Nouveau porcelain figurine of a mother with child, Rudolf Marcuse (1878 - 1940), Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin White, glazed porcelain, painted by hand. Blue underglazed sceptre mark and orb mark of KPM on the base, signed "Rudolf Marcuse" on the base. Height 32 cm. Rudolf Marcuse was known for numerous bronze statuettes in the Art Nouveau/Art Deco style. He studied at the Berlin Academy under Ernst Herter and created numerous designs for the Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin between 1911 and 1913. Condition: I
