As the present pochoir designs show, Charles Martin was one of the most distinguished Art Deco illustrators of the time. The album is dedicated to Berthe Cerny, actress at the Comédie Française. She served as a model for the hat designs and can be seen in the four mounted photographic images. In her dedication, Demay refers to the actress as "la parfaite Parisienne". With a preface by the writer Alfred Capus. - The illustration with bird of paradise with smoothed crease. Paper delicately browned. Inner joint slightly cracked. The pochoirs in bright colouring. Well preserved.
