A Lipiko mask of the Makonde in Tanzania/Mozambique, 20th century Hollow carved wooden mask with remnants of preserved kaolin on the face. Wide-open eyes set in black, the scarification marks on the face and the engraved hair rubbed. A restoration to the left half of the forehead, very small losses in places. On a black presentation stand. Height top side approx. 23 cm. Condition: II - III
