Die Illustration zeigt die Frontansicht der Marktbude. - Der wenig bekannte Aussteller W. Sühring reiste in den späten 1880er Jahren wohl vor allem durch den Norden Deutschlands. Das "Volksmuseum", wie Sühring seine Ausstellung nennt, bestand aus einer Vielzahl mechanisierter Wachsfiguren von historischen, zeitgenössischen oder mythischen Charakteren, Szenen und Figuren. Hierunter eine Schlangenbeschwörerin, Rotkäppchens Begegnung mit dem Wolf in den Wäldern, eine Eisbären und Wolfsjagd auf dem Eismeer, u.a. - Papierbedingt zart und sehr gleichmäßig gebräunt, mehrfach geglättete Falzen, 1 kl. The illustration shows the front view of the booth. - The little-known exhibitor W. Sühring presumably traveled mainly through northern Germany in the late 1880s. The "Volksmuseum", as Sühring calls his exhibition, consisted of a large number of mechanized wax figures of historical, contemporary or mythical characters, scenes and figures. Among them a snake charmer, a polar bear and a wolf hunt on the polar sea, a.o. - Delicate and very evenly browned due to the paper, smoothed folds, 1 small tear, altogether however very well preserved.
