14 German and French (a.o.) Baroque pilgrimage medals, 18th/19th century Devotional medals struck in bronze, brass and copper, mostly as pendants, depicting Christ, Mary, St. Peter and Benedict, among others. Two medals from Rome, dated 1751 and 176(4), with a depiction of the Mother of God and the inscription "S. Maria Neukirch" (Santa Maria in Vallicella). Finely engraved crucifix with inscription on the back. The reverse of the other example depicts the crowned Virgin and Christ Child. Mostly with dark age patina. Size 3 - 7.5 cm. Condition: II
