Five impressions of seals on clay, a clay model and a bronze punch with bird of prey, Greek, late antique and early Islamic, 3rd century B.C. - 8th century A.D. 1 - 5) Impressions of seals in fired clay. Including ibex, mythical creature, double-faced figure, Greek letters and early Islamic Kufic lettering in two lines. Width 13 - 17 mm. 6) Model with depiction of a bird for appliqués on late antique sigillata. 7) Greek bronze hallmark for sheet gold appliqués depicting a bird of prey. Width 15 mm, length 19 mm. Provenance: From the collection of Prof. Dr. Peter Robert Franke († 2018). Co-author of the splendid volume "Die griechische Münze" by Franke, R. P./Hirmer, M. 1972 and many other specialist publications on ancient numismatics and ancient history. Acquired in the 60s to 90s in the German art trade. Condition: I - II
