A Greek bronze ointment vessel, Greek, 4th century B.C. Bronze with black-green patina. Bellied vessel with turned foot, narrow neck and flared, reinforced lip. Turned grooves on the foot and neck. Somewhat encrusted patina, lip with crack, minimal dents to the belly. Height 9.3 cm. Provenance: Frankfurt private collection. Acquired in April 2016 at Hermann HIstorica (auction 73, lot 4596). Previously Portuguese private collection, acquired in the 1970s. Condition: II - III
