Copy enriched with 2 BEAUTIFUL AUTOGRAPH LETTERS from the author (to Monsieur de Pontaumont), one bound at the head of Vol. I, the other in fine in Vol. III. Restorations to the spines of T. I and II, small brown spots on first 3 pages of T. III only, good condition. Numerous notes written "without emphasis or bias" (Frère, II, 178).
