One of the 40 first editions on Japon Impérial (N° XI), containing 6 states of the illustrations: in color, in color with commentary, in color with commentary on old Japon, in bistre, in blue, in green, as well as the decomposition of a plate in red, yellow and blue, a plate for each volume - and a second interpretation after Marcel ARNACH's 1931 watercolors reproduced in facsimile by Jacomet's workshops in three states: color, bistre and sanguine, on Japon. A copper plate of one of the illustrations, dated 1928, and 3 original grease pencil sketches by E. Malassis are included. Malassis. Watercolor by M.
