VILLE DE LYON - CARNOT (Sadi). Banquet offered to Monsieur le président de la république (Sadi Carnot) on the universal occasion of Lyon. Lyon, June 24, 1894, oblong in-8, printed by B. Arnaud, Cloth with bangs, illustrated cover with coats of arms of the city of Lyon and the Rhône General Council, in slightly worn folder and slipcase. Various views of Lyon's monuments from the exhibition pavilions, meal and concert program. Attached is a printed sheet of President Carnot's last speech, delivered on June 24, 1894, at the Palais du Commerce, at the banquet hosted by the city council and the general council. This banquet was Sadi Carnot's last public event before his assassination on the same day at the exhibition site by the anarchist Caserio.
