Gitton du Plessis, black speckled edges, XI-927pp. bands, letterplates and lamp-ends. Ex-libris Mr. A. Gitton du PLessis and P. de la Morandière. Very small marginal stain on the first 200 pages, a fine copy. A very rare work. The author studies the qualities and virtues of the magistracy and deals with all subjects relating to this institution. Iron of J.A.M. Gitan du PLessis, a late 19th century bibliophile living in Blois. Argent, on a gules field between six martlets sable, three in chief and three in base, two and one. These arms are found on the 1st and 4th quarters of a quarterly engraved on the bookplate shown here.
