Curious collection of 21 original documents from the Revolution-Empire period, relating to Pierre Verset, very carefully mounted on cardboard boards framed with brown ink, gold fillet and watercolor borders, in an in-folio volume of black half-chagrin with corners, spine ribbed, gilded edges, PV initials on first cover, black moire endpapers (c. 1910). The collection begins with a handwritten poem signed by L. Bruneau dated March 27, 1910, followed by: birth certificate in Vendée (Simonneau family), handwritten letter sent from Machecoul (1766), Act of Affiliation to the Paris Federation, certificate of presence at the Federation for deputy Verset (Seine-et-Marne, Rozay) in 1790, Appointment as Weapons Instructor, Act of Detention by the Revolutionary Court, Appointment as Arsenal Inspector, Permission to Carry Weapons, Assignats and miscellaneous...
