Paul-Jean TOULET (1867-1920). Autograph manuscript, [Le Bréviaire des courtisanes, 1899]; 28pages small in-4. Two chapters written by Toulet for this book written by Curnonsky and Toulet, and published under the pseudonym of Perdiccas, Le Bréviaire des courtisanes (H. Simonis Empis, 1899).These two chapters are written in violet ink on the front pages, with a few small corrections in black ink. The manuscript was used for printing.Chapter IV. The Pleasures of Breaking Up (15 pages): "It is to be remarked that the heroes of this story did not, in all their vacations, play crockett, nor lawn tennis, nor tennis of any kind: and if any of them fluffed it was only while waiting for a game"... Chapter X. Les Fausses dédicaces (13 pages): "As the dinner went on, that evening, without interest, Eliburru suddenly disappeared under the table"... Attached are a L.A.S. "Perdiccas" by Curnonsky, February 20, 1900, to Rachilde; a visiting card in the name of Perdiccas; 6 l.a.s. addressed to CurnonskyPerdiccas in October-November 1899, about the Bréviaire des courtisanes, by Frantz Jourdain, Mme Lami, Jean Madeline, Monteil, J. de Montesquieu, Léon Morand, the publisher H.
