He invites the Citizen Administrator to "make Colonel Jean Jacques Hector des Cultures du Sale Trou count, as a gratuity, a sum of fifty gourdes in money; this sum will be allocated to you as a good expense"... Beside his signature, ink stamp Republic of Haiti, and apostille a.s. by Pierre-Étienne Garraud, acknowledging having received the sum in question on June 5, 1816 for Colonel Jean Jacques.
