Maurice BARRÈS (1862-1923). L.A.S., [ca. 1890], to a critic; 3 pages in-8 (small mourning). He thanks him for his article "It is a great pleasure to see his thought understood in this way. [...] It is above all for convenience that I had to wrap very tightly a book that also has the appearance of a confession; it is also for some principles of art". Anatole France saw nothing in it... He congratulated his correspondent on his talent and feared "not being able to give these beautiful pages the fate they deserve. My friend Paul Adam tells me he knows of a suitable magazine [...] You could also be sent to Belgium, where Péladan has friends"...
