A moving letter from the famous singer at the end of her life.She writes from her bed to claim what remains due to her from the performance given for her benefit at the Théâtre des Arts, for which she had been promised the sum of 6,000 francs: "Nouvelle Cigalle, je viens vous crier famine... car, voilà la bize venue... [...] Like the Cigalle: I used to sing, don't get me wrong!... Like her, my sweet spring, my summer, eh! almost my autumn; saulted through the window... Eh! Partant; voila que je déchante: cependant, j'espère encore, retrouver dans ma voix des accents assez doux, pour que mes sollicitations, et ma plainte, aille jusqu'à votre cœur"...
