Based on the Spitfire, the bodywork redesigned by Giovanni Michelotti became an elegant hatchback fastback that earned the GT6 the nickname of "the poor man's E-type". That said, it's not necessarily a bad thing to be compared to an E-type! The engine is a 2-liter in-line 6-cylinder delivering 104 hp and a top speed of 190 km/h. A relatively wise, quirky and plush GT with a real sporting personality, it is now becoming a must-have in any collection, and a very affordable one at that. The GT6 was produced from 1966 to 1973, in 3 series, Mark1 to Mark3. The magnificent GT6 we are pleased to present is a Mark3, the most accomplished version of the model. Restored (restoration file on request), this car is second-hand and has belonged to the same owner for 19 years.
