Unloved by purists who only had eyes for the 911, it was primarily intended for the American market, with its innovative design reflecting the aesthetics of those years. Nevertheless, it had a long life, being produced until 1986. In 1973, the first oil crisis hit the market hard, forcing us to lower the engine's power output to just 240 hp.
