YAGÇIBÉDIR carpet (Asia Minor), 3rd third of the 20th century Dimensions: 202 x 108cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. An oblong navy serrated hexagonal medallion, with a stylized multicolored flower at its heart and arrowed, speckled pendants, sits at the center of a long flaming cherry counter-field. The whole is set on a navy field of multicolored angular plant compositions. Chestnut border with geometric corollas set on stylized polychrome undulating scrolls, flanked by a cherry and a navy counter-border, both with garlands of florets. Beautifully fresh.

Signed KACHAN carpet (Iran), late 20th century Dimensions : 382 x 288cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. An oblong ruby counter-field with accolades, covered with multicolored floral scrolls, supports a multi-lobed, vegetalized, navy, sky and ivory rhomboid medallion and its two pendants. Four scrolled sky spandrels, set on a floral marine field, enclose the whole. The wide navy border, interlaced with foliage and flowers in polychrome, is flanked by two sky counter-borders with garlands of flowers, highlighted with ribboned ivory. Pleasant composition and palette.
