In wood, trimmed with leather, with rounded lid, reinforced and barded with studded wrought-iron bands, and trimmed with wide wooden protective bands. Inscribed on the lid in small brass studs "COFFRE DE MESSIEURS LES PAGES DE LA CHAMBRE DE MONSIEUR". Closed by two wrought-iron locks (one clasp torn off). Transportable by two strong wrought-iron folding handles. Height : 50 cm. Depth : 57 cm Length : 114 cm Canvas interior (later refinished). Wear and tear, missing leathers and reinforcements. Circa 1780. History : This trunk is similar to those used by the Dauphine, then Queen, and members of the royal family.
