Coffre-fort de voyage dit de corsaire ou de Nuremberg du XVIIe siècle

Rectangular iron case reinforced with hinges, featuring a false lock on the front. The lock entrance is concealed on the lid, which when opened reveals a complication lock with a central engraved motif of stylized foliage. Eleven movable pennes secure the chest, which was also probably locked by a movable bar, now missing, slid into the rings on the front. Small internal box with key. Two movable side handles. LARGE BARGUEÑO In walnut and decorated with square and rectangular bone lozenges on the two leaves and ten drawers. The fronts are decorated with two curved frieze motifs. It stands on four turned legs (attached). Attractive openwork wrought-iron hinges partially frame the front, with tilting side handles. The keyholes are oval-shaped wrought-iron plates. Both leaves are richly decorated with architectural motifs. Spain, early 18th century. H. 59.5 cm L. 96 cm Pr. 37.5 cm
