The fisherman or lively Loing river bank in summer Oil on panel 22 x 27 cm Signed lower left and dated 86 19th-century wood and gilded stucco frame This work will be listed in the catalog raisonné currently being prepared by Mr. Jean Pierre Cappoen, Ph.D. in art history, whom we would like to thank. The site is Saint-Privé in the Yonne, on the banks of the Loing, the village where Harpignies lived from 1879 until his death in 1916.
