Oval pendant adorned with adjoining busts of Henri IV and Marie de Médicis in right profile in white wax on slate. Engraved and gilded brass frame decorated with symmetrical foliage. Bracket and movable ring. Paris, workshop of Guillaume Dupré (Sissone, c. 1576 - Paris, 1643), first quarter of the 17th century H. 6.2 cm Red and yellow sealing wax on reverse (missing) This is a rare wax model used to create a medal like the one created by Guillaume Dupré to commemorate the birth of the Dauphin in 1603, of which the Musée du Louvre holds two examples (inv. OA 785 or 552). See previous lot.
