Alsace, first third of the 16th century H. 40 cm (minor damage and missing parts) This group would have been part of a set of four, placed at the bottom of an altarpiece, like those seen in the famous Issenheim altarpiece in Colmar's Musée Unterlinden (fig. a, b, c and d).
