[Maroquin, peau de vélin, Chine, Doué-La-Fontaine] Missale romanum. Tournai, Desclée, 1897. In-folio. (35 x 25 cm). Beautifully bound altar missal, probably given to Laure Achard de La Haye (1817-1913) for her château de la Tremblaye-Meigné (for the Notre Dame de Grâce chapel). A painted title on vellum has been added at the beginning, painted by Grenard (?) in 1897. The La Celle/Achard coat of arms is on the title, and on the left are the La Celle coat of arms in a lozenge and an astonishing reminder of the Yun-Nan mission in China (we have found no link with the La Celle family). Binding signed Fechoz, full red morocco, large decoration on the boards, ornate ribbed spine, gilt edges, roulette on the edge of the back covers. Minor defects. A very fine copy.

Slightly oiled, crease top right. Annotated on verso by Mucha. 50 x 32.2 cm Our drawing is preparatory to the painting entitled La Madone aux fleurs de lys, dated 1905 and held in a private collection (see Objet d'Art, hors-série, "Mucha au palais du Luxembourg", September 12, 2018 - January 27, 2019, p.34, repr.).

Nineteenth-century (c. 1840-1860) manuscript account book, without cover, [28] ff., in an early eighteenth-century reused tan morocco binding, ornate ribbed spine, title page ("Menu nécessit.") in red mar. red, double gilt fillet with fleur-de-lys spandrels on boards, gilt laurel medallion on boards with gilt title on first board "Menues necessite 1706" and superlibris in gilt letters at bottom of first board ("Hermie Procureur"), gilt fleur-de-lys in medallion on second board. Heads torn off, corners dulled, rubbed and worn. H: 37 x W: 2 x D: 25 cm
