1975 BMW R90S Serial number 6717666 3324 KM since restoration German registration 8 000 / 16 000 € The first version of the R90S was very popular, but it was above all with the orange "Daytona" version available from 1975 that it became legendary. In fact, it is in this guise that it is most valued by the majority of its enthusiasts. The differences between the "first-generation" R90S and the "second-generation" R90S, visible at first glance, are few and far between. With a power output of 67 hp at 7,000 rpm, the R90S is 7 hp more powerful than the R90/6 version, which delivers its maximum power at 6,500 rpm. A true sports car, the R90S is quickly ready to express itself in competition. It took part in endurance races such as the Bol d'Or. The BMW R90S also won the Tour de France Moto, once again in the hands of Hubert Rigal. But it was above all the Daytona victory in the "production" race that remains the model's crowning glory. In fact, the 1975 R90S was christened "Daytona" in memory of the brand's victory on American soil. What a symbol! The bike on display has been restored to its original condition.

A pupil of Falguière, winner of the Prix de Rome, king of allegorical sculpture (further proof here), he was awarded the Grand Prix at the 1900 Exposition Universelle, which supported the Olympic Games...
