Etienne HAJDU (1907-1996). Diane service - 1970. Blue enameled Sèvres porcelain with white abstract design. Set includes : - one dish (D: 26 cm) - one plate (D: 22.5 cm) - 6 small plates (D: 16 cm). Signed, dated and stamped by the Manufacture de Sèvres below (each). Note: Etienne Hajdu created a large number of decorations and shapes for the Manufacture de Sèvres between 1966 and 1976. The shape of the Diane plate was designed around 1960 by Alain Gauvenet, modeler at the Manufacture from 1950 to 1968.

SÈVRES Plate in hard porcelain, with decoration taken from the "ordinary" service of King Louis-Philippe at the Château de Fontainebleau, decorated with hunting animals in polychrome foliage, alternating with antique-style cartouches of trophies and King's numerals imitating cameos. The porcelain was made at the Sèvres factory in the 19th century, the exterior decoration later. Bearing marks from the Sèvres factory dated 1846 and from the Château de Fontainebleau.
