Edmond Renoir inherited works, mostly from the Impressionist master's youth, on which the present seal was affixed, notably the drawings.

Contemporary half brown basane, 4 ribbed spine. Some rubbing to binding, two small tears in margins. Good condition. One of 350 numbered copies on vergé (the only suitable paper) (N°71). One of the versions of this classic curiosa, here illustrated with reproductions by several engravers (Von Bayros, Willette, Van Maele, etc.), in very different styles, but each in harmony with the poems they illustrate.
