Costumes and picturesque views of Brittany - Nantes ; Charpentier père et fils & Cie, [1848] - 5 albums in 2 volumes In-folio - Scattered freckling in volume I, more marked in volume II - Text leaves interspersed between 5 lithographed titles with colored highlights, 100 costume plates by François Hippolyte Lalaisse (48 costume plates in vivid period colors, some gummed in Vol. I, 52 costume plates with color highlights in Vol. II), 11 plates in Vol. I and 13 plates (1 missing) in Vol. II by Félix Benoist, i.e. 24 plates in 2 tones of landscapes, views and monuments, all located in Loire-Inférieure, Morbihan, Ille-et-Vilaine, Finistère and Côtes-du-Nord, all lithographed, work complete with titles and plates (the 5 department maps are missing, as in many copies) - Bound in contemporary brown half-chagrin - Spine ribbed and decorated, titled and toméed in gold - Work entirely mounted on tabs - Fairly good copy.
