Pele's ‘Public Recognition’ Diploma from the Municipality of Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Brazil From the personal collection of Brazilian football (soccer) legend Pele: an attractive Portuguese-language hand-painted “Public Recognition” diploma from the municipality of Sao Jose do Rio Preto, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, presented to Pele while serving as Brazil's Extraordinary Minister of Sports, honoring him for his services to the country and elevating the name of Brazil beyond its borders. The diploma, one page, 15.5 x 23.25, features attractive calligraphic lettering and hand-colored designs, with manuscript text to the body, which reads, in part (translated): "Diploma of Public Recognition to the Illustrious Lord Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Pele).” Signed at the conclusion by six city officials. In fine condition. Provenance: Julien’s Auctions: Sports Legends, June 2023, Lot 540; Julien’s, Pele: The Collection - Part II, December 2016, Lot 49.

Steve Wozniak (2) Early Personal and 'Apple' Business Cards Scarce pairing of early calling cards for Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak: Circa 1983 Apple Computer business card, 3.5 x 2, listing him as "Steve Wozniak, Principal Engineer." The off-white card features the iconic 'rainbow' version of the Apple 'byte' logo, and lists the company's address at "5300 Stevens Creek Blvd., Suite 500, San Jose, California 95129." Wozniak’s personal calling card from the mid-to-late 1980s, 3.5 x 2, with printed name, “Steve (Woz) Wozniak,” address, “21435 Summit Road, Los Gatos, CA 95030,” and telephone number, “(408) 353-3333,” with an engraved image of Wozniak’s former Redwood Ridge estate nestled at the summit of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In overall fine condition, with expected wear and soiling from use. Per Woz himself: ‘Those cards were from the very start of Apple. The personal card was for my home on the summit and I was very proud of the phone number 353-3333 because, at that time, you could not get all 7 digits the same in the 408 area code. They didn’t allow the same numbers in the 408 area code (San Jose) and 415 area code (San Francisco) and the 415 area code had them all, 222-2222, 333-3333, etc.’
