in silver-plated metal on a wooden core. The lid engraved with numerous signatures, probably mainly of dignitaries and ambassadors posted to the Czech Republic in 1935 and 1936. The edge under the lid is engraved "Prague 1936". H: 4.5 - W: 25 - D: 18.5 cm Attached is a photo featuring Paul-Emile Naggiar (1883-1961), a French diplomat, and Tomáš Masaryk (1850-1937), first president of the Czechoslovak Republic. The photo bears the handwritten note on the back "Remise lettre créance à Masaryk, printemps 1935". Note: From June 3, 1935 to March 26, 1936, Paul-Emile Naggiar was French Minister Plenipotentiary to Czechoslovakia.
