Lantern clock with single-hand alarm, double dials with brass Roman numerals on a chased background of arabesques and fantastical animals, signed "Benois Gerard Paris". The pediment is decorated with openwork floral interlacing, centered on a coat of arms. Two stamps, the main one surmounted by a spinning top. Double-weight system with verge mechanism and horizontal meeting. Presented in a straight-sheathed oak case. First half of 18th century Clock: H_40.5 cm - W_14.5 cm - D_14.5 cm Case: H_209 cm - W_35 cm - D_28 cm (accident to the alarm spring, cracks and restoration to the case)
