Albert Louis Edmond CHARTIER (1898-1992) The Abduction of Europe Original bronze with golden patina, signed and numbered 3/8 on the back; Rosini founder's stamp. H_68 cm - W_68 cm - D_29 cm Note : Winner of a gold medal at the 1925 Salon des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Chartier was associated with a regionalist group well established in Blois, the École de la Loire. His work includes "Le Printemps", presented in plaster at the 1925 Salon, for which he won the Prix Chenavard from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris (Public commission, Château de Blois, 1926).
