Bah machete, Iran qâjâr, 19th century Long, flat, rectangular, single-edged blade, extended by a handle with a discoidal end, all in steel, the handle surrounded by plant fibers. The blade is acid-etched on both sides with figures, animals including wild boars, foliate friezes and cartouches with Persian nasta'liq inscriptions around the edges.
