DESNOS (Louis-Charles). L'indicateur fidèle, ou guide des voyageurs [...] Paris, rue Saint-Jacques, au Globe [Desnos], 1767. In-4 marbled calf, spine ribbed and decorated (period binding). Joints cracked, headbands torn off, epidermis. Fully engraved work including a title and double-page ornate dedication, as well as 19 watercolor maps (France with roads, a map of the Paris region with road departures and 17 maps of the various routes). Bound at the end is a prospectus of the Guide des voyageurs with an 8-page alphabetical catalog of royal and private roads and a 10-page alphabetical catalog of France's 1,380 towns and roads. Light spotting on the first 2 plates, scattered freckling.
