Paperback, filled cover, slipcase. Edition illustrated with 26 color compositions by Russian painter Boris Vasilyevich ZWORYKINE (1872-1942), including a title and 15 hors-texts. One of the first 180 numbered copies on imperial Japanese paper, this being one of 145 containing a black suite of hors-texts. A very well preserved copy, despite the slightly faded spine.

Minor tears and fragmentary losses along the edges of the cover and spine (glued up). “Count Nulin” is a short comic poem written by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin in just two mornings on December 13 and 14, 1825 in Mikhailovskoe. Dimensions: 6 3/8 x 4 3/8 in., (16 x 11 cm.) The object is clearly depicted in the images provided. Visible tears and signs of age.

Contains Boris Godounov , Scenes from Faust , The Miserly Knight , Mozart and Salieri , The Stone Guest , The Feast during the Plague , Rusalka , Scenes from the Times of the Knights , Dramatic Studies .

Published by M.A. Sourovine, St. Petersburg, 1887. Format in-8°, 12 pages including 8 numbered, 6 sheets of polychrome lithographs by Stadler and Pattinot after Malychev's drawings, cover with lithographed decoration. Small tear.
