Illustrated with 112 photographs by René-Jacques. Sent by the author with a small self-portrait. Francis Carco, of Corsican origin, whose real name was François Carcopino-Tusoli, was born in Nouméa in 1886 and died in Paris in 1958. He also used the pseudonym Jean d'Aiguières.
