One frontispiece and 50 folding plates, including a large map of Luxembourg and one of Namur. Plate 36 torn but not missing, in need of restoration. Abbé Deidier (Marseille 1698-Paris 17461) was a mathematician and professor at the La Fère artillery school. After educating Louis-Ferdinand de Croÿ, Abbé Deidier wrote Le Parfait Ingénieur français, a work on the fortification methods of, among others, Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban.
