Wooden core case covered with chased leather. The lid is decorated in two registers: on one, a cut-out leather cartouche; on the other, profile busts of a man wearing the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece and his wife, surrounded by a crown of thorns, with a background of scrolling foliage and interlacing friezes; the front features a rosette between two profiles; top handle and brass hooks.
